Never heard of them before your post, gazza. Been listening to them this morning and they really are a hidden gem. (Well, not so hidden now I found them!) Thanks to you (and Sandy) for the intro. CHUMS - the thread that keeps on giving!

I would probably have voted for Etherwood this week but for some reason, I'm gonna go for Emerson, Lake and Palmer.
Not sure why. Must have a catchy name or something.

Being a fan of the 80's...
Eurythmics Echo and the Bunnymen Europe Sheena Easton
Others include
Eminem Elbow Eagle Eye Cherry Energy 52 (They did Cafe Del Mar which every clubber from days gone by will remember and probably love!)
But I have to go for...
ELO, with Last train to London being my all time favourite by them.

CHUMS - the thread that keeps on giving! Glad you like them mate. I'm intrigued to know what you've been listening to though as Gazza and I differ on which is their finest album!
I might be able to offer some recommendations.

I might be able to offer some recommendations. I've just been listening to you tube tracks so far. I've got It's All in Your Head and Speak in Code in my Amazon basket ready to order. What's Horrorscope like? I'm not a big fan of loads of swearing in songs and it seems like every song has explicit lyrics. Any advice gratefully received! By the way, also in my amazon basket are albums by Longview and Motion City Soundtrack - also recommendations from your good self!

When did I recommend Longview (I mean, I DO recommend them, but don't recall doing so for some time!)? Longview only have (or 'had' as I believe they have since broken up) the one album but my God it's good. For Motion City Soundtrack, I'd start with 'Go' - the most recent album - but the album(s) with 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Last Night' on (my favourite track of theirs) are well worth a listen too.
As for Eve 6, Gazza will say Speak In Code is their finest (if you can get the Deluxe version with 'Red and Black' as an extra bonus track, do, as it's as good as anything on the album if not better!). I personally think Horrorscope is their best album and, hand on heart, can't think of any swearing other than the odd 'sh*t' which you'd find on Speak in Code anyway. Certainly nothing worse than that. Look up the lyrics to 'On the Roof Again' for a general feel of the level. I'd personally place 'It's All In Your Head' as my least favourite of their 4 albums, and their debut eponymous CD is better (IMO).
Enjoy - and let me know what you think!

CHUMS - the thread that keeps on giving! Fantastic, matey, credit has to go to Sandy though as he introduced me to them. It's criminal that they're not bigger over here, as talented a group as I've heard in a long time. I really hope they've got another album in the pipeline.

Cheers, guys. I didn't think it would be that bad, but Amazon has 'Explicit' all over it!
I listened to On the Roof and loved the middle bit with the alliteration!
Victoria is also a quality track with some great lyrics - a real story being told.
Agree with that gazza - they knock spots of the likes of Green Day, in my view.
Sandy, you recommended Longview and MCS on the 'Hidden Gems' thread

So I did!
Gazza has also quite rightly reminded me that the first track on Horroscope does have the F word in it, but I still maintain that having the whole album down as 'explicit lyrics' seems unnecessarily harsh!
Glad you're enjoying it anyway!

'Victoria' is good, but I'd give 'Lost and Found' from that album a listen if you haven't already.

Glad you're enjoying it anyway! Sorry, matey, I was on the phone to my lad when you texted me back. I agree that the 'Explicit' warnings are hardly worthy, you hear as many 'F' words on Have I Got News For You. It's another great album, don't let that warning put you off, Eps, you're missing out if you do, matey.
