Here is our piece from tonight's edition - posted in some haste, as I endeavour to complete the Match Report before daybreak!
Anyway, happy reading...

Good evening, and welcome to our visitors from Worcester, who no doubt want to leave EP tonight with a more favourable scoreline than the 4-0 defeat suffered last season – a result that was the ‘sauce’ of much delight amongst home fans (sorry, but if I don’t get a lame ‘sauce’ pun in now, you can bet Maccy will, so we might as well get it over with).
Those of us who frequent County Heaven are well aware we are an online magnet for the discerning Hatter (other fora are, of course, also available), but it seems of late we’ve gone global. True, we were already blessed with members in Australia, Canada, Germany, Norway and Spain (apologies if I’ve forgotten anyone), but we’ve recently had visitors from The USA, South Africa, Holland and China! It seems even the Ukrainians aren’t too pre-occupied with avoiding war to pay us a visit either.
So what tempted all these international newcomers? Could they be exiled Hednesford fans? Unlikely. Perhaps they heard about me spotting Chris from ‘Eggheads’ in Tesco? Doubtful. Maybe it was to watch Maccy don some guyliner and impersonate Chris Isaak? Erm...
Truth is, there isn’t just one reason people are drawn to CH. We appeal to all ages, races and even some women. The only thing we have in common is our desire for County.
It’s strange what desire will make foolish people do. Isn’t that right, Maccy?

Yeah - it’s a Wicked (old) Game, innit Saint? Er... I mean, Sandy!
Printing deadlines for this edition of your favourite match-mag prevent our commenting on the outcome of Boston’s visit over the weekend just gone - but, hopefully, it went something along the lines of continuing County’s recent impressive home form.
Tonight’s opposition, as it happens, are one of three from the West Midlands that the fixtures-computer has dealt County within the space of a fortnight. Having travelled to Hednesford the weekend before last, and picked up a creditable and well-deserved point against last season’s bogey-team there, our next match, this coming Saturday, will be at Solihull. The Moors also had in common with Worcester during 2013/14 the short-term employment of imposing man-mountain defender, Exodus Geohagon, whose exocet throw-ins were a thing of both wonder and fear.
I still have recurring nightmares of watching him tussle with the diminutive Iain Howard, who made him appear even more of a giant, and who was, frankly, fortunate, not to end up squashed in front of our very eyes... Truly terrifying.
Thankfully, though, Big Ex is now plying his trade at Nuneaton, so we won’t encounter him on either occasion this week!
Enjoy the game.
