Wouldn't have had you down for a Corrs fan though. I've got the Talk On Corners CD which is very pleasant if undemanding listening. If this was a video rather than an audio choice, it might have been herthem. Running on to the end of the Cs in my CDs, I'd better add Crowded House and the brilliant, if short-lived, Cosmic Rough Riders.

Not everyone's cup of tea but I'll go for Leonard Cohen on this one.

Absolutely. Leonard Cohen was on the fringes too and Crowded House were in until about 2 days ago.
Oh and Andrea was pretty Archie, but I was always partial to the drummer. Must have been the jiggling.
Giggidy.

Still can't believe the audacity of Leo Sayer and Elton John with Famous Blue Raincoat...
...or did Cohen steal it from Schubert?

Seriously though, I have no idea what you're talking about there, I have never heard any of Leonard Cohen's stuff.

I'd also like to mention the excellent Nat King Cole, Joe Cocker & Chicago under the 'C' category.

Anyone who likes Leonard Cohen songs might like to investigate the Jennifer Warnes album of covers entitled Famous Blue Raincoat.

Blimey - a real sparse selection above for the 'C' category. I suppose Cat Stevens falls in the S category, fair enough. I'm going to go for The Charlatans. You might find a lot of indie, britpop, mod stuff coming from my end of the table

The Cure are the best of that bunch for me, I have gone right off Coldplay now. 'Parachutes' seems like a whole century ago in comparison to the utter f**king dirge they churn out to the masses these days. That said, Sam Cooke for me. Listen to 'The man and his music' and tell me I'm wrong. (@ Sandy: If mine is the only vote for Sam Cooke when voting closes then I'd like to change it to The Cure please) Same here with Coldplay - from X&Y onwards they've been a bit gash.

I'll go with Cream as opposed to Eric Clapped-Out.
Although having Andrea Corr singing "Leave me Breathless" in my Ipod earphone is rather mind bending !!

Seriously though, I have no idea what you're talking about there, I have never heard any of Leonard Cohen's stuff. Try "Suzanne" for starters, "Sister of Mercy" for seconds and "So long Marianne" as a final intro.
