Canucks got an absolute slapping last night, lost 9-1 in Anaheim, everything that could go wrong, did!
Thankfully we're still ahead of Minnesota and Phoenix, though we have a crucial game against Phoenix tonight at 2am, if you want a link, Gazza?

If it was last night or tomorrow night I would have been up for that, matey, but I'm in work tomorrow and I have to be up early. If you send me a link and I'm still up I might be able to catch the first period and maybe a little more, but hopefully I'll be too tired by then or even be asleep. So send a link please, just in case. Cheers, mate.

This is a proper old fashioned rivalry game tonight! Within 2 seconds the whole line on the ice were fighting minus the goalies, 6 players chucked from the game, 4 got 10 minute penalties, 10 minutes later another load of fighting breaks out, with mini scraps chucked into the period throughout, Tortorella the Canucks coach is going ballistic at the Flames bench calling them cheats and finally when the period ends you see Torts try to get into the Calgary locker room and fight their coaching staff......!
0-0 after 1 Period....

1-1 after 2 Periods....
Flames score early in the period but only a minute or so later and the Canucks equalise, all to play for in the 3rd!

2-2 at the end, Canucks won on a shootout to stay nicely in the playoffs

LMAO, get in.
I noticed Kellan Lain and the Flames number 15 just looked at what was going on around them, looked at each other and thought "yeah, f*ck it, why not?!" and went for it too!
Quality.
John Tortorella was seriously fuming there.
For the green horns like me, Fudgie, what was it about the line ups that kicked it off?

Well, the Canucks first line was due to play but Calgary put out their goon squad so Torts rather than risking injury to his best players was forced into doing the same and Torts wasn't happy with the Calgary coach for doing that, it'd be stupid to start with your 4th line normally so it was obviously just with the intention of hurting the Canucks stars which Torts clearly took exception to, you think he's fuming there? Check this out, this was during the intermission!

Thanks for the explanation. mate. He had every right to lose his cool there though, but he showed real nous by putting his 'goons' out there too. I notice the Flames coach didn't engage Tortorella once, the shitbag. I hate that in any sport, instigate the mither then slink off into the background.
t*sser.
All the more reason to enjoy that win, hey, Fudgie?!
f*ck 'em!

Well Calgary are rivals as it is, making this even worse!
I took great delight in reminding a Lames fan that the only reason Calgary tried that tactic is because they know they aren't as good as the Canucks normally! Soon shut him up haha!

Sad news, Henrik Sedin, one of the most influential players in the world has finally succumbed to an injury and his ironman streak will come to an end after 679 consecutive competitive games!
