Hi guys,
Using the same user name here as elsewhere.
Read with interest my name mentioned on the new YB, re: my name mentioned on here re : Lando's shirt, so first let me deal with that...
They were sold by RL, not the club. He asked me to help and as I mostly post on MMMB that is where I posted their initial availability. I would have followed this up by putting them on EBay, but they all sold in minutes. I realise this must have annoyed some, like it did on here, for which I apologise...I did not mean to exclude people, it is just MMMB is my regular haunt usually. I do actually have one, possibly more, shirts left. I will soon be posting this / these on EBay, and will post on here when sale begins, so as many as possible get the chance to get one.
I do not post on MMMB as I love the place. The format is poor IMO, and some of the stuff on there far too negative for the likes of me, but that is one of the reasons I post there to try and provide some positivity that at times is severely lacking. The other reason is I found MMMB 10 years ago and I know many of the posters there now personally.
So I will try and visit here and the new YB, and see whats going on away from MMMB.
Cheers Steve

Hi, mate.
Let me be the first to say it was real decent of you to come on and explain the situation regarding the Lando shirts, and while I have been one of the more 'vocal' among us in levelling criticism at the way this was dealt with, I appreciate your explanation regarding your reasoning behind it.
It would have been better to have thrown it open to all County fans, not only for the fans, but also for Lando. As putting the lot up for open auction would surely have made more cash for Richard, but that's just assumption on my part obviously. That said, with a couple going up for grabs on ebay, at least there'll be anorher opportunity for anyone who missed out.
Thanks for that mate, and welcome to the forum.

Yes - a warm welcome to Heaven, Steve. Your opening post - and, indeed, its openness - will, I know be appreciated by other Heaveners, as it is by me. As for your second, just get another eight on these threads and you shall be rid of the 'Boot Boy' tag!

Thanks for the welcome Gazza and Hatter in Macc, and again I apologise to the entire County Heaven community for the shirt thing. We live and learn !
Taken time out tonight to read a few posts on this and the new YB a little, quite refreshing TBH after years of MMMB, where doom and gloom can be the norm. I may fit in other boards a little better as sometimes being positive on MMMB leads to a whole world of sh!t, but I stick by my stance...it sometimes needs a voice of reason, or glass half full rather than half empty attitude.

We tend to resort to banter at times of stress. Occasionally a little racily, but never over-stepping the mark... I'm sure you'll fit in very nicely, mate!

welcome, since77. was mike summerbee managing when you started then? i arrived at EP a year later and he was around then.
there are bits of spats on here occasionally, and it's sometimes far from positive post-match; but it's a different kettle of fish to YB - slower paced and less prone to enmities and libel!

I think it was Eddie Quigley at the helm for my first trips to EP, but I was very young as I was first taken to County as a 4 year old with my father, grandfather and uncle, who lifted over the turnstiles, allowed by the very same turnstile chaps that still work the mainstand entrances today.
The first managers I can really remember proper was Eric Webster, who was followed by one of my all time favourites in Colin Murphy who performed miracles and was a real footballing character. His image was tarnished somewhat after he left his 2nd spell in charge taking half our team with him !
I thought those years through the 80's were bad, enduring re-election every year along usually with Rochdale. We really were the laughing stock, but who could have predicted what followed and the marvelous times under Danny and Dave J, but I never would have predicted we'd sink lower than we were in the 80's, let alone 2 divisions lower.
The only way is up from here surely !
