First post-match job on the 'to-do' list accomplished here, having uploaded today's programme article. Happy reading!
The report for COWS may not be ready until the morning, due to our dining with Cousin Macc from Down Under, but, as was the case last week, you, fellow Heaveners, will get the first sneak preview of that, once it is done...

Good afternoon from EP, and a warm welcome to Bradford Park Avenue.
Like County, The Avenue have enjoyed seasons in the sun as a League club - albeit more than forty years ago now. Since that time, their supporters have also had to endure the original club’s extinction, and, after reformation, travelling to ‘home’ matches at various ground-shared Rugby League venues around West Yorkshire, before enjoying a return to play in Bradford.
Enough, you might think, to test the patience of a saint in Heaven. Did they but know it, however, their congenial officials and fans last season secured this august forum’s Friendliest Club Award! We look forward to returning the hospitality today, although, hopefully, won’t extend any generosity so far as the points are concerned.
Not that it will be easy, mind, seeing as The Avenue are off to an unbeaten start - with just two points dropped - so far. For County’s part, confidence is back on the upturn, following last Saturday’s smash-and-grab victory which finally saw our goals and points columns trouble the scorers - and which came as a huge relief on the back of two opening reverses.
Here’s to a good contest today. But first, over to Sandy, who has been holidaying in Norwich...
Where are you, buddy? LET’S BE AVENUE!

Delia-cious punnery, Maccy!
Our last article introduced County Heaven to those foolish enough to have not yet visited us, or for new fans who have simply jumped on the tail-lift of the Vanarama Conference North. The best way to become familiar with CH, however, is to purchase a copy of our 2013/14 Yearbook - a compilation of our finest bits from last season. Even better, all the profits go to Kidscan - a children’s cancer charity - so you’ll be supporting a worthwhile cause, too. Contact me at sandbachhatter@hotmail.co.uk for details.
Make no mistake, though, County Heaven is not just a forum - we’re a community. A place to celebrate a win, or sulk after a defeat. Somewhere to share a joke, recommend an album or rant about your irrational dislikes.
You can take part in my quiz, Downy’s prediction league or Lennie’s limerick competition. We even have (thanks to Gazza) our own games arcade!
And, as of this season, we’re now a public service, too! Maccy has recently been appointed County’s Tweeter on matchdays, as well as writer-in-residence of Match Reports for the official website - so, if you’re not part of County Heaven this season, you’re missing out!
We even announce new members AND wish you many happy returns on your birthday - so, if you’re reading this, Yaya Toure...
Enjoy the match!
