Not technology but the best of British. Sounds really promising in the fight against plastic and they appear to be well ahead of coca cola who have been working on a 'solution'. www.choosepackaging.co.uk/

I'm wondering if the major battery companies will be making bids for the patent the moment it's been fine-tuned, then keeping it from us until it suits them. It's a great idea, Ceef, that's for sure!

I'm wondering if the major battery companies will be making bids for the patent the moment it's been fine-tuned, then keeping it from us until it suits them. It's a great idea, Ceef, that's for sure! It's less likely to be the major battery companies than it is the major fossil fuel extractors and the politicians whose influence they buy with their substantial donations to party funds and sponsoring of individual MP's office expenses. It's widely known that Volvo in particular pioneered a specially developed IC engine that could run off vegetable oil (most diesels could be easily converted to run off a mix of diesel and veg oil) but ran across the obvious problem that they couldn't interest anyone in manufacturing it in sufficient quantities or supplying it on forecourts. And just in case anyone should run away with the idea that the Governments "hydrogen strategy" is designed to promote, encourage or even support the development of hydrogen technologies they should first of all consider what they mean by their stated "twin-track" approach. By twin-track, they mean blue, as well as green hydrogen. Blue hydrogen is a by-product of natural gas, i.e a fossil fuel use of which research suggests produces at least 20% more CO2 than just burning natural gas. The extent to which the Tories are now dependent upon people and businesses involved in fossil fuel extraction is difficult to exaggerate. Anyone in doubt should read this www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/jun/24/oil-gas-donors-gave-over-400k-tories-before-north-sea-decisionor this, from DeSmog www.desmog.com/2019/11/25/revealed-super-wealthy-tory-donors-ties-climate-science-denial-and-fossil-fuels/#:~:text=Another%20long-standing%20Tory%20party%20donor%20who%20made%20his,is%20also%20chairman%20of%20the%20Royal%20Opera%20House. blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2021/08/31/windows-11-available-on-october-5/Rolling out the free upgrade to Windows 11 in a phased and measured approach
"The free upgrade to Windows 11 starts on October 5 and will be phased and measured with a focus on quality. Following the tremendous learnings from Windows 10, we want to make sure we’re providing you with the best possible experience. That means new eligible devices will be offered the upgrade first.
The upgrade will then roll out over time to in-market devices based on intelligence models that consider hardware eligibility, reliability metrics, age of device and other factors that impact the upgrade experience. We expect all eligible devices to be offered the free upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022. If you have a Windows 10 PC that’s eligible for the upgrade, Windows Update will let you know when it’s available. You can also check to see if Windows 11 is ready for your device by going to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates*."
