Maybe a little strange given our injury problems, but good luck to him.
Cheers for posting, AH.

Just trying to remember the status of the injury list, I think it's as follows:
MSH - out for season Rydel out for season Knoyle basically out for season Wright - return imminent Bennett injured? DC interview suggested he is Croasdale - out for a couple of weeks - back this month? Collar - I've lost track of his current injury - out for several weeks? Camps - return imminent? Stretton out for season Barry, return in April???

Following on from the above, and not really squad as such, this is our (not terribly stiff at first glance) run-in:
March Sat 9th H Newport (12th) Thu 14th A Salford (19th) Mon 18th A Crawley (11th) Sat 23rd H MKD (5th) Fri 29th A FGR (23rd)
April Mon 1st AFC Wombles (10th) Sat 6th A Rock Bottom Sutton Sat 13th H Morecambe (9th) Tue 16th A Notts County (14th) - on quite a slide Sat 20th H Accy Stanley (16th) Sat 27th A Wrexham (3rd)
Plus A Cole U (22nd) as and when it's rescheduled - with 6 games already scheduled for April I reckon County will want to fit this in in March if possible. Even so, only 2 of the top sides (MKD and Wrexham) and mostly mid to lower table opponents, other than the number of fixtures this does not look very demanding. 7 wins from 12 games gets us to 84 points which is normally enough. Throw in a D or two and I think we're pretty sure of a top 3 finish.

This is an interesting article on County players who are, or have been, out on loan. Several have, to me, been just names so far. So it's nice to get some insights into their ability and potential. There's also a few references to ex Hatters - Sam Minihan and Neil Young www.stockportcounty.com/county-loan-update/

So this is Todd Kane's Wikipedia page - which describes him as a left back although the comments on COWS suggest that he is thought of as cover at RB...... anyway, see what you think: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Todd_Kane

I can't help wondering what, if anything, these signings suggest about other loan players - e.g. Bennett v Kane and if Knight's signing/reveal says something about Louie Barry's hoped for return.... not suggesting anything but makes me wonder a bit.
They've obviously put a lot of thought and patience into signing and eventually announcing Knight, so hopefully that means he can be an impact player soon.

If Knight is as good at football as his uncle was at Cricket, then he'll do.

I don't think Louie will be back, at least not this season. If we were comfortably top and with a bit of daylight, I'd say yes, because we wouldn't be too reliant on him, it would just be a case of letting him play a part in helping finish what he so brilliantly started.
However, because we would be looking to him for inspiration and to push us on, I don't think Villa will want to risk him going all out trying to win us games.
Just my gut feeling.

Probably a good idea to bring these guys in to provide competition and hopefully to spread the load to reduce injuries.

Brilliant news, Christ knows we were due some...
Can we now have the rest back please? Oh, and while we're at it, can we please make sure Macca comes back without that f***ing injury monkey on his back this time?

Aye, so I reckon Croasdale must be close to returning and Akil Wright should also be getting close to a return, and if Rico Richards can play the Louie Barry role then we should be close to being back to our best.
Ethan Bristow looked like he may have partially dislocated his shoulder? The Salford player was practically wrestling him to the ground. The Ref should have had a word with both Captains and said listen this is football not WWE, tell your players to cut that out or they are going off. Just my thought.
