Billy Sharpe leaving Sheff Utd. I think he could do a job or two for County if he was interested. Not too far for him to move unless he crosses town to Wednesday ? Guaranteed we won't be in the running for these calibre of players, the likes of Wrexham will, while we go about signing players on nobody else's radar. A Summer of 'meh' for us, I fear.

That's an interesting read, bad news for Ethan Ross I fear, but with Hinchcliffe being 35 it's a sound idea to look for a competitor and longer term replacement. I suspect Ross's face doesn't fit, although I've no reason to be critical of him.

Sam Byrne with the news that Neil Byrne has signed a two year deal..... provides good depth / cover but we still need a naturally left-sided CB though

Sam is at it again.... re-tweeting Football Insider - "poised to sign ex Hull City Striker Billy Chadwick" - who he you ask (quite rightly) well he came up though their youth team and has spent a fair bit of time out on loan scoring some goals. Anyway here's Sam' Tweet and Billy's Wikipedia and Sports Mole pages.... confusingly the latter lists him as a 5ft 8 & 1/2 Midfielder. Ah well, in DC we trust... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Chadwick_(footballer)www.sportsmole.co.uk/people/billy-chadwick/

So far so good with these signings. Would like to see an out and out striker who can bag 20 goals next season come in.

Toure looks to be more of a LB (and therefore competition for Rydel) given that he's 5ft 9 and a bit, so maybe not so much of the out and out LCB we need to replace Hussey and Johnson. That said, Jim Gannon and Mike Flynn were both right footed and they didn't do too badly as a pair..... I'd still like a prototypical 6ft something left footer at CB though
Billy Chadwick had a cruciate ligament go and so there may be questions about his fitness and development - hence the idea of taking him on the tour and seeing whether he is ready for 1st team now or needs a bit more development. His goals in the video above suggest he's already capable of scoring up front or as an attacking MF - maybe a long term replacement for Sarce? I get the impression that DC prefers to sign experienced pros but that he's willing to have one or two "developmental" players in the squad, and I guess that is how DC sees BC.
I'd still like to land Aaron Pressley, although we were far from the only side in the hunt. He stands 6ft 4 or so from what I can tell and has a physical playing style so would be good to lead the line and compete with or cover for KW.
Still waiting on the Goalie from Forest (Jordan Smith) who we were supposedly close to signing.
