I see Fulham have sacked Rene tonight and put a cat in charge, well someone called Felix.

nice rog. so the point at old trafford and narrowly losing right at the death to an in-form liverpool was clearly unacceptable. this 'one last throw of the dice' mentality is ridiculous. and it's not wilkins or curbishly though? i thought they were the official stalking horses (as like tesco lasagne, we have to include a little equine at the moment).

This is what happens when brain dead foreigners who don't understand the intrinsic difficulty of playing in a highly competitive league get control of clubs.

I predict that Magath will be a successful as Di Canio. He's a disciplinarian who will alienate players and wear them out on the training pitch so they can't perform on match day. How long before he is complaining about how unfit the players are? Down they go. Of course my track record in predicting is not great, so Fulham will probably scrape a place in Europe.

Di Canio succeeded in keeping Sunderland up.

Fair point, smarty pants. But I don't think you could call Di Canio's time with the Mackems as a success overall.
Those type of hardline coaches don't tend to do well in the la-di-da land of the premier league, twas my point!

are they just looking at him as a short-term 'crisis' appointment though to try and give them a quick boost and keep them up? either way i hope they go down. the team is old and spineless, and this muddle of jol, meulensteen/curbishley/wilkins, magath is ridiculous.

Chris Powell sacked at Charlton.
Obviously, the defeat at Sheff Utd in the Cup was the final straw.
And so it goes on.

yet again, feel a bit sorry for him. they forget he'd turned round their league 1 wilderness years and taken them up. not as idiotic though as those plums you used to get on 606 saying that curbishley had taken them as far as he could when they were finishing tenth in the premier league...

A board sacking a club legend at a ludicrous time of the season, thank God we'll never have to go through anything like that!

well to be fair, our idiots did it six weeks earlier when there was still a chance it could make a difference...and then appointed kalezic, which of course did make a difference...

The ironic thing about Powell is that he was sacked because of his success in the FA Cup.
Charlton are 4 points from safety with 4 games in hand. If they'd have gone out in the first round he'd probably still be in a job.

If they'd have gone out in the first round they'd be pretty miffed considering they're meant to be 3rd Round entrants!
Only joking mate, I completely agree, hope Charlton drop now for this
