Arsenal sack Unai Emery www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50532493The treatment Wenger got in his later years was disgraceful, not just from the fans. Sky's post-match sh*t-stirrer, Patrick Davison deserved a punch in the face from the Frenchman on more than one occasion - asking him almost on a weekly basis if he was fearing for his job. Maybe Gunners fans will be careful what they wish for next time.

I don't think Arsenal have been quite the same since they moved to their current stadium anyway, with Highbury being much more 'boxed in', with the fans being really close to the pitch it made for a more intimidating atmosphere - it was a great leveller for them, in my opinion.

the broad opinion when wenger left seemed to be that they would support the new manager for a couple of seasons because there was so much to do...seems they've redrawn their schedule. one of the issues with arsenal is that when they f*** it up, it's almost always cataclysmic. get to a european final in your new man's first season in charge? sounds positive, tell me more... ...tamely surrendering to a premier league rival in chelsea who were pretty unstable themselves at the time qualify for the champions league for a million consecutive seasons? well done lads. spend most of those million consecutive seasons not making it past the last 16? not such an achievement. smashed by bayern away? cue anger. smashed by bayern at home? heads fall off. man utd 8 arsenal 2? chelsea 6 arsenal 0? southampton 4 arsenal 0? utd 6 arsenal 1? spurs 5 arsenal 1 (league cup)? liverpool 5 arsenal 1 bayern 10 arsenal 2 (on aggregate) etc. from a team with a fantastic spine to utterly spineless. fancy fancy can't defend. completely porus despite until recently having Granit in the team...
be funny if benitez got it - taking arsenal's playing style back to the days of george graham...

Lampard.
They only reason I can think of regarding why he's still not been sacked, is because they simply can't afford to.
Manager by default!

Will Lampard's next job be non - league? I'd put money on him landing himself the West Ham job if Moyes gets sacked.

No sympathy with Everton fans. At the time, it was between Lampard and Vitor Pereira. The fans protested against Pereira and insisted on Lampard. The board relented and appointed Lampard. Everton are in the bottom 3 and good candidates for relegation and have had to pay Lampard off. Pereira is currently 5th in Brazil with Flamenco. They got what they deserved.
