Happy Birthday, Danny!
Still so sorely missed and taken from us far too soon.
Continue to rest in peace, Danny and thanks for everything. We may only have a small house, but you gave us that bloody big heart!

could probably do with a bit less of your uruguayan sun, danny, but happy birthday to the man who stopped us pootling about the lower half of the fourth division.

Another way to demonstrate the impact he had is that, aside from giving us even more pride in our club than we thought was possible, the reason we feel we deserve to be a football League club is also down to him. He gave us that, he instilled this feeling of 'it needs to be better than this' that we're all feeling right now, the standard that Jim is always trying to attain - he elevated us to that standpoint where we expect, no, demand it. Danny left us with that. Jim may have achieved more in terms of promotions and go on to get us even higher, he may have arguably achieved similarly legendary status already (in my view he has), but Danny got there first - so he'll always be the best because of that. It all started with Danny.

I just thought it better to bump this old thread to save starting a new one...
I won't say "Happy birthday", as I've started to think that it's not really a "happy" occasion when they're no longer here to celebrate it.
Instead, I'll simply say that he'll never be forgotten, and hopefully the statue and 'Bergara Close' will ensure that he'll be remembered for generations to come!
Here's to The Man from Uruguay!

Remembering him especially on this day, too.
Continue to RIP, Danny.
