Welcome back, fellow predicting Heaveners! Giving you plenty of time, and allowing for any absences due to holidays, for the first week's collection of matches - to take place two weekends from now. And it is a straightforward set involving teams from England's top six tiers, too! Needless to say, I won't always be so nice... Just remember that, taking account of the Luton game's scheduling, you need to have your guesses for all seven posted before the evening of Friday, 2nd August.Eyes down, look in, then. And, of course, new predictors are always welcome. Rules, should anyone need to remind themselves of them, are at countyheaven.freeforums.net/thread/14/prediction-game-rulesGood luck! 1. Luton v Middlesbrough ( Friday) 2. Wycombe v Bolton 3. Morecambe v Grimsby 4. Eastleigh v Notts County 5. Boston v Chester 6. Bath v Braintree 7. Liverpool v Manchester City ( Sunday) (H/A only)

Have to admit, Lennie, that I was a tad concerned about Bolton!

Any more for any more, ahead of this afternoon?
One game completed already - although a few of us (ahem...) jumped the wrong way on that, so the playing-field remains pretty level still!

Holidays and illness (temporarily, I hope) reduced the number of competitors this week but there were still some good scores. There were also a couple of VAR referrals where I've decided to go strictly by the rules even though I'm quite sure that the breaches were inadvertent. I feel bad for Ceefer who correctly predicted the 90 minute result in the Community Shield but fell foul of the H/A only stipulation. Fair to say that we'll be trying to avoid this in the future. I also feel bad for Bradders who was too late for his correct prediction in the first match to count. It's clear that he didn't know the score because he predicted a draw when Luton were already a goal up so I hope that his other 5 correct predictions will be some comfort.
