Oops - so you did! Sorry, should have checked - although I guess that any excuse for a 'Bump' is welcome...

Not entirely sure whether this collection of County goals from last season has already been posted on Heaven - but, if not, and if you have 41 minutes to spare, it is an enjoyable watch:

The club streamed the whole of the 1994 QPR game today:
With THAT post-match interview with Danny right here:
Continue to rest in peace, Sir Danny!
That "small house" quote is at 2 minutes 36 seconds and, although we've got as near as makes no real difference, it seems we've all quoted it wrong since he said it!
And now for Preecey's post-match interview:
What a finisher he was.

Match Report... of sorts! Still, I would say, my all-time fave single match at EP. What an utterly fantastic afternoon it was. And quite a year 1994 turned out to be, too, as my eldest - at one time known on here as Teenage Maccette - was born before it was out. She turns 26 this October... ***************************************************************************************************** QUEENS PARK RANGERS (FA Cup, 3rd Round), Home: 8th January 1994By Hatter in MaccOne of the greatest matches that Edgeley Park has hosted in (relatively, bearing in mind the perspective of younger Heaveners!) recent years almost didn't go ahead on the scheduled day, due to the bitterly frosty conditions. Grateful thanks were due to Referee Peck for making the pre-match call there - as, frankly, our top-flight opponents really didn't fancy it when they saw quite how 'grim oop north' it was that afternoon. Like others who were there, I recall proudly the way County (at that time a Second Division - 'League One', in today's money - side) fought back - courtesy of, firstly, Big Kev and, second, Preecey's thumping volley - after going behind early doors. I also remember Ray Wilkins: doing his level best to try and run the game on the Ref's behalf; forced to be running around a bit for, possibly, the first time in his career, when his team were up against it; but also being graciously willing to give an autograph for every young County fan who queued up for one. It was the shock result of the afternoon, and received top billing on Match Of The Day that evening. After the game, and a good-natured, post-match pitch invasion (we all wanted to stand on the spot from which Andy P had unleashed his classic of a winner!), I adjourned happily to 'The Horseshoe' in High Lane, to celebrate with my good buddies, Stalybridge Hatter and HL Hatters 1 and 2, before staggering back to HLH 1's house in time for MOTD. We videoed the County footage, in the way that folk did in those days, too: the match-action being preceded by shots of Mr Peck running up and down the pitch to test the ice that lunchtime, and of Danny Bergara, "on his way to work", walking out of a terraced home adjacent to Hardcastle Road. And, once the four of us had watched all of this 'live', we re-ran it again... and again... and again, combining the twenty or so repeated views with a sort of drinking game, which required us all to down more beer every time when Preecey's goal went in (and slurringly debate about whether he might possibly, in fact, "miss it next time") and when The Man from Uruguay appeared at the white front door of what we simultanously had, each time and in drunken unison, to proclaim loudly was "Danny's House!" . I don't remember much about getting home that night - although at least I only had a short walk down the A6 to Disley. Stalybridge Hatter, from what I was told afterwards, had a great deal more of a struggle! And, over eighteen years on, I haven't, at matchdays, and even during the worst of times for the Club, been able to walk past that little, white-doored, mid-terrace dwelling without a big grin and a warm glow

Reading that brought back some memories, Maccy!
That Railway End was shaking, literally, when Preecey's goal flew in - it was right up there with Kev's goal at Wembley in 93 for sheer 'mental' value!
I remember watching Neil warming up with Jonesey before the game and turning to my mate and saying: "there's no way we're gonna lose this", I just had a that unbelievable gut feeling and I was right - and then some!
We're so lucky to have been there, matey.

"...thought she was related to Darren Peacock, they've both got the same length of hair" - A comment so dry you could get out the shower and towel yourself down with it. What an afternoon that was. Watched it with my old man, never a demonstrable chap but even he got excited by the second goal and was Danny Bergara the dogs b*ll*cks or what?

This match was so influential in my County supporting career. It is the first game I can remember getting really excited about. I was too young to go to Wembeley the previous season but was pretty regular at home matches (with Epworth Hatter) and this was my first “big” game.
I haven’t seen the game since seeing it live. Apart from Preece’s goal (and celebration) I didn’t remember anything that happened on the pitch. Watching it again I was surprised how poor QPR were on the day. They clearly were not up for the cup.
My only memories of the day was the QPR fans being divided between the Cheadle End and the other end of the Main Stand (ie near the Railway End).
I was in the Railway End and I remember the chant to the Main stand away fans “you’ve come all this was for nothing”. I also remember Trevor Sinclair getting the bird; “Blackpool reject, Blackpool reject”.
Great day in our history. As has been said countless times already on County Heaven, you cannot overstate the importance that Danny Begara had on the club. He was fantastic.

Here’s the match of the day from that night. From about 46 mins. Including Danny’s front door...

"DANNY'S HOUSE!" ... rewind.... replay... Indeed! That BBC coverage brought back some memories, not least for the attempts by David 'charisma' Davies to take the shine off not just the result, but also both of our goals - Play.....to.....the.....whistle! Also, Baz was NOT interfering with play

Superb team performance and Preecy's goal was a worldwide.
