Nothing announced about these by County as yet, but it looks as if we shall be kicking off our pre-season schedule on 6th July with a more-often-than-not-traditional curtain-raiser down the road at Cheadle Heath:

Just beat me to it, Gazz-man!
Another chance there to earn a first-ever win at Guiseley. Hopefully, the wind will drop a tad this time around...

Not announced by County as yet, although Stockport Town also have us (our Development Squad, possibly?) down for a visit to Woodley on 9th July:

Full schedule now announced - with additional trips to Alty and Curzon, as well as Stockport Town, and a rumble with Macc that both clubs hope will be staged at EP:

As exciting as ever.
‘So wake me up when it's all over’.
Hows about doing a Cheadle or Fcum and get a decent european team over.
Ah forgot the pitch wont be playable until a week before the season starts.

As exciting as ever. ‘So wake me up when it's all over’. Hows about doing a Cheadle or Fcum and get a decent european team over. Ah forgot the pitch wont be playable until a week before the season starts. I think these gigs are a decent idea, but they've come at the wrong time. This pre-season should have seen a good few games at EP, especially after the promotion as Champions. There could have been some significant interest from people that haven't been to County, who may have read and/or heard about last season's exploits and wanted to see what all the fuss was about, but I seriously doubt they'd want to go to any of the away friendlies. I know the gigs can be an important revenue stream, but the potential of attracting new fans is more important in my opinion - I think we've missed a trick here.

County's final friendly, on 27th July, is now definitely to be played at Macc. The EP pitch will then be given extra time, so that it is ready for action proper by the following Saturday.

Correct, Lennie. And that calls for a quick fixtures prediction game, I think! Watch out for the thread about it shortly...

Pre-season fixture changeWe can confirm that we will now play Mansfield Town away on the 27th July. The visit to the One Call Stadium replaces the fixture away at Macclesfield, as the Silkmen are now unable to host County on that date. Our pre-season schedule is now as follows; Saturday 6th July – 15:00 – Cheadle Heath Nomads (A) Tuesday 9th July – 19:45 – Stockport Town FC (A) Saturday 13th July – 15:00 – Curzon Ashton FC (A) Saturday 20th July – 15:00 – Guiseley AFC (A) Tuesday 23rd July – 19:45 – Altrincham FC (A) Saturday 27th July – 15:00 – Mansfield Town FC (A) www.stockportcounty.com/pre-season-fixture-change/
