Does the club, or anyone for that matter have playing stats for the season so far? I am interested in who are our most productive players in terms of assists\goals in relation to minutes played.

I've never heard JK on radio mention such a stat and don't recall seeing it brought up in other mediums.
I would be confident in a suggestion that Dimaio has the best goal/assist rate in terms of minutes played. Beyond that I don't have the minutes played to provide a cross-reference for the stats table I put on MotM polls.

I was trying to see if players perceived effectiveness would relate to actual effectiveness. One example is the Minihan/Cowan debate. I suspect that the quality of Cowan's delivery produces more obvious chances/assists when compared to Minihans more swashbuckling style.

Unfortunately I would guess that 'chances created' by players in the NLN is probably a step too far for most people to monitor beyond coaching staff, the players themselves and enthusiastic family members.

Having had a bit of spare time and my liking for statistics, I thought I would see if there was any more info out there. Other areas of interest would be saves per goal from Ben Hinchcliffe and shots per goal for our individual strikers. No worries, just a meandering thought. May get more stats once we get back in the FL!

I think 🤔 the club use some body monitors that measure how far they have run and produce fitness stats. Not sure what its called and it’s different from what you were asking.

Yup, they have those little packs in their man-bras. I haven't seen it, but the club will be accessing a platform (scout7?) with videos and so on but whether or not that contains the depth of data forza is referring to, I don't know. It's pretty much Opta level stuff and, interesting as it is, I think we will have to be FL before we see it!

A rough and ready way (albeit quite laborious!) of getting something approximating to what you need would be to trawl through my match reports - all of which are on CH.
I do manage, within the word-count, to mention all County's chances and Hinchliffe's saves of note in them.
Not terribly scientific or immediate - but if you have the time, it is at least a start...

That is quite a difficult one, so far as overall effectiveness is concerned, though. I like Cowan - and think his recall probably has enhanced our attacking threat from the right. But at the other end, he was arguably at fault for both of the goals we conceded on Saturday!

...and with the minutes always being mentioned of subs etc in Maccy's reports, that would help calculate minutes played too. Maybe programme stats table would be helpful too (not bought one this season though!). Anyway, since Maccy's the best match reporter out there, there's always hope!

I used to use an app for recording tennis match (singles) info during some of my daughters matches, but that would be really impracticable where 11+ players are concerned. Add to that really boring and you dont enjoy the match as much.

That’s dedication ceefer. My son has a friend who is part of the digital assessment team at Stoke. They take it very seriously at that level.
Except that Garry Rowett didn’t listen to a word they said!

More fool him, Duds!
Didn't yer Blues begin Stoke's slump over Christmas that led to his sacking?
