3. Final day v Blyth and Super Al joining in with our promotion celebration! Ooh - it's a close-run thing between wanting that and partying in front of FC Moston!

Just announced we're away at Spennymoor on opening day. Alfreton is the double header and home to Darlo on last day.

That couldn't have gone much worse for me. I can't even make York away!

Fixtures now copied and pasted on to a separate, locked thread for ease of reference. These will be kept updated during the season by your friendly neighbourhood admins.

That last game could be very important when push comes to shove.

As has been mentioned on YB, at least we don't have an obviously tough run at any point - the harder games seem to be well spread out.
As an aside, Salford look like they have a tough start. In their first 6 games they have Darlo (first game), Kiddy and ourselves making visits to Gary Neville's mecano stadium, as well as an away trip to Chorley. Hopefully we'll all be able to take advantage if their squad is still trying to gel over their first month or so.

Initial thoughts a bit mixed. Glad to be visiting Salford early on. Their side is likely to become the one to beat, although - fingers crossed - may not have fully gelled by 15th August! A trip to Spennymoor on the opening day is a potential toughie. I was really hoping to avoid a promoted club away from home so soon, as it is bound to spur on our hosts as they ply their trade at a higher level for the first time. The Christmas/New Year double-header against Alfreton is a tad underwhelming. Not too far from Macc Towers, mind, and preferable to a trek to Harrogate which also requires visiting the in-laws... No long-distance midweek away-trips - as yet, at least. Neither a visit to Salford and Telford should mean too late a night. The final run-in during April looks quite tricky. Hopefully, we will receive Darlo on the final day without needing too much!

1. Opening day v Spennymoor (A) 2. Double-header v Blyth 3. Final day v Darlo (A) No doubting our predictions winner. Spot on with '1', and as good as with '3'. Well played, H! Honourable mention for gts, after mentioning 'somewhere like Alfreton' as an each-way guess under '2'. Thanks for playing.
