Most forums (although not this one) would benefit from a 'Let's take this outside' button. When two posters fall out on a thread they can click the button to create a pop-up with a virtual back alley. Each poster's hard-man character enters the back alley and the posters control their virtual self using the arrow keys and various other keys (U for uppercut, Shift+H+P for hair pull... etc.). Both posters are led on to think the virtual fight will come to an end as captions such as 'Finish him!' and 'It'll only take one more!' flash up on screen. However, the savvy webmaster (probably called gaz) has coded it so the fight can never end. The posters, unwilling to give up this virtual fight, eventually succumb to real-life starvation. I did send this idea to another forum. It wasn't adopted and the problem of bickering continues to this day. At least I can hold my head high and say I tried to make a difference. Absolutely brilliant, H!

As I'm in mobile I gave you a like rather than an upvote!

there have been a handful of posters on CH over the years i think would have benefited from a clawed hand to the chest, removal of still-beating heart, then held up for other posters to cheer/think on while the forum pest sank to his knees, now sightless eyes never to sparkle again at the thought of 'winning' an argument just by repeating it on so many occasions that everyone else would retire, bored. ...but not for years. i suspect that gazz has secreted them under the cement floor of a disused printworks somewhere, kept alive by rainwater and lichen dripping down a tube, and 'winning' arguments with each other in cracked voices, in perpetuity.

When I'm up voting things from my pc it still says likes, not sure if I am doing something wrong.

When I'm up voting things from my pc it still says likes, not sure if I am doing something wrong. If you refresh The page it should change, matey. It's far from perfect, I know. I think this is why they're redesigning Proboards from the ground up, so plugins and adding extra code to the template will work universally. It's called a 'responsive' design, which - rather than have 'Desktop' and 'mobile' views - will automatically adjust itself to fit the device you're viewing it on and look the same for everyone.
