Well Done County Supporters ! Over the last few weeks the Supporters Cooperative has been running a campaign in support of the Wellspring, the magnificent Stockport charity that provides for the needs of the town`s homeless so well. The campaign culminated yesterday in a bucket collection inside Edgeley Park, organised by John Giles and his team, and with a crowd of less than 1500 present , County supporters raised a fantastic total of £609.36- a simply brilliant effort! A short while ago we were able to drop this cash off at the Wellspring along with an additional £46 generously donated, by members and supporters, at the cabin , and we can tell you it was very gratefully received and will be put to very good use indeed! We were also able to drop off a ginormous amount of good quality warm clothing , and a smaller amount of donated food items, and the Wellspring have asked us to pass on their grateful thanks to you for your timely generosity at a time when the weather takes a harsh toll on rough sleepers. So…………..we happily add our thanks to those of the Wellspring, your generosity comes as no surprise to us, you are County fans…thank you ! Stockport County Supporters Cooperative

COUNTY LOOK FORWARD TO AN EXCITING NEW FUTURE The Stockport County Supporter’s Co-operative (Co-op) would like to welcome Mark Stott and his team to Edgeley Park. Mark has outlined an exciting vision to develop the football club, both on and off the field, provide first class training facilities, full time football, development squads, help to regenerate the local area and has ambitions for the Club to eventually play in the Championship. The Co-op have been working closely with the football club and have met with Mark Stott and his team prior to the sale taking place. We were seeking assurances on behalf of Co-op members and Stockport County supporters. Mark was able to confirm that the Club would be debt free following the change of ownership, an assurance that we welcomed wholeheartedly. We reiterated how important Jim Gannon is to the success of Stockport County, and this view was mirrored by Mark Stott and he confirmed further that funds would be made available to Jim, immediately to assist this season. A good budget will be provided next season. Assurances were sought and received about the Club remaining at Edgeley Park – and in this respect we were shown impressive development plans, that served to underline the new owner`s obvious commitment to County remaining at our Edgeley Park. In 2015, Help the Hatters set up the Players Fund, which raised an initial £35,000 and these funds were allocated to the playing budget of the first team. In return, 17,500 shares were allocated and held by the Stockport County Supporters Co-operative on behalf of the supporters. The Co-op is a legal entity, registered under the Co-operative and Community Benefits Act 2014, is governed by the Financial Conduct Authority and is a member of the Football Supporters’ Association. The Co-op will open discussions with Help the Hatters regarding how the proceeds of the sale of our shareholding following the successful negotiations, will be allocated. We would like to thank the outgoing board of directors, having worked closely together to transform the future of the football club, resulting in our fantastic promotion campaign last season. An example of our successful campaigns is the Community Ticket initiative, which has enabled over 5,000 youngsters to watch a live game at Edgeley Park – and helped develop our fan base for the future. We would also like to thank Steve Bellis for maintaining regular dialogue and meetings between the Co-op and Club directors. This work has provided the supporters with a much stronger voice, representation and ensured that our voice is heard within the football club. The Co-op look forward to working closely with the new board of directors at Stockport County and to continuing dialogue and regular meetings, to represent the views of our members and the supporters – as the club’s largest stakeholder. We wish Mark and his team all the best during their time at Stockport County. Join the Co-op and help provide the supporters with a stronger voice. Membership is just £12 for adults, £3 for 16 to 25 year olds and £1 for under 16’s. webcollect.org.uk/coop/subscription Stockport County Supporters Co-operative

Supporters Cooperative Photoshoot a Resounding Success. Yes, there may have been no goals scored on the pitch yesterday but the Stockport County Supporters Cooperative Events Team scored heavily before the game as County Supporters responded in numbers to the last chance to get photographed with the National North Championship Trophy before it is returned. Queue`s formed, and were processed with superb efficiency by the Coop`s team, ensuring dozens of family groups and individuals went away happy, and 15 new Supporters Cooperative members were signed up in less than 2 hours. The whole session , in the Family Lounge was a huge success, encouraging us to do more interesting events in the future, in what is a popular pre-match venue for County fans of all ages to meet- so watch for word on this subject, or send us your ideas via info@countysupporterscoop.co.uk The Cooperative would like to thank Anthony of APN Sports Photography for his support with this project., and of course County Supporters who responded so brilliantly!

Membership Upsurge a Welcome Boost Conventional wisdom has it that, for Supporters Cooperative membership numbers to receive a boost, the Club has to have been visited by a major crisis. Massive credit to the current Cooperative Board, therefore who, with good times beckoning via the arrival of Mark Stott and his team to the Club, ignored that old bromide and set about a series of initiatives in tandem with a membership push, that have received a great response from County Supporters, even as they celebrated the arrival of Mark Stott in the County Family. The Supporters Cooperative membership has increased by 35 in 2 weeks and now stands at 277, and we welcome all those new members and express the hope that they will play as full a part in our activities as life allows. Thank you for your comments Ceefer and Gazz but it was honestly a win win situation for me when I was moving over here. I couldn't bring everything I had in the UK and in all honesty there were a number of shirts that I would never wear again,I actually noticed a young lad wearing a 90s top away at Notts County and thought that's brilliant he's wearing his dad's old top. When I discovered the co-op were reselling old tops for fans to buy for a tenner, I thought well I've got enough old shirts that could make them over a hundred pounds, they have spent most of the last 5/10/15/20/25 (depending on their vintage!) years in a cupboard or bag in the loft. I decided in the end to only keep two, my early 90s yellow 'sick kit' and my champions shirt. Apparently one of my shirts is going to be framed for display by the club ( a white Gordon Ford) and a couple of 90s Wembley visit flags are also headed for the museum. As I said at the start I win because I can share the love for county and rather than put the tops in a charity bag genuine fans will get them but also I win because I can help the co-op and therefore the club, be honest if you could help them wouldn't you? So come on old-timers if like me you have a stash of old shirts that won't fit or you are unlikely to ever wear consider how many of them you would be willing to part with! Even with Mark Stott's money we still need to show how important our club is to the fans!
Up the Hatters!
