Well, the match may not have gone ahead, and today's programme may or may not be reissued when the rescheduled game takes place, but here is what we wrote in it - lest this now ends up getting pulped (which, arguably, should have been its fate in the first place... )!

Afternoon, all. Greetings from Edgeley Park for the first time in three weeks. And a warm welcome to our visitors from Hednesford in neighbouring Staffordshire.
The Pitmen are the final opponents that County will be taking on for the first time this term. And, as coincidence would have it, the two matches immediately preceding today’s saw us travel to play - in Gloucester and Harrogate, respectively - the second-last and third-last teams we had to await meeting when the campaign kicked off.
What are the odds on that?! Oops, sorry - wrong column...
On this February Saturday, of course, EP promises to be abuzz as we, the County Faithful, properly welcome a certain someone home for the third time as Manager. In doing so, our hopes will be high that the Hatters can build on their promising performances under Jim, at the World of Smile and (in spite of eventual defeat on Tuesday night) the CNG Stadia - both grounds where we have found it notoriously difficult to do well in League action since sponsors got to work on the naming rights at Whaddon and Wetherby Roads!
(That said, it’s probably no excuse. The grandiosely-designated Richborough Estates Stadium of Congleton held no fear for us in the Cheshire Senior Cup...)
And now over to Sandy, who celebrates his birthday on Monday. So, esteemed friend and colleague, knowing how you’d like nothing better than a big, expensive present...
I’ve got you nothing.

Maccy, you shouldn’t have! Oh, you didn’t.
Well, I might have been let down by my media wife, but my real wife, the long-suffering Mrs Sandy, has promised that this will be my best birthday ever. I wonder where she’s going? (I guess I best bring you up to speed on the world of County Heaven now, in case she reads this and it’s my last ever article!)
Despite devoting hours of his time to making our banners look even better (which none of us thought possible), and not only fixing some technical issues in the arcade room, but adding a few more games as well, Gazza has still managed to find time to win Downy’s Prediction League for January, scoring an impressive 7/7 perfect round in the process – well played Gazza!
Elsewhere, it’s a while since I updated you on C.H.I.V.E. (County Heaven’s Indexed Vault of Evil), where we’re compiling our A-Z of the most heinous crimes against mankind - so, if you’ve been keeping track, you can add ‘Rover cars’; ‘Saying “So...” at the start of answers’; ‘Tossers (of litter)’; and ‘Unsupervised children in public places’ to the list. All worthy entries.
And finally, recent winners of Lennie’s Limerick Lounge include Maccy (Nuneaton), County Fan (Congleton) and, most recently, Ceefer (Gloucester). If you fancy yourself as a limerickerist (what? that’s a word), then sign up and join in!
Enjoy the match, and get behind Jim and the lads.
