Our piece for today's programme follows. Unfortunately, our warnings about superstition and magpies were in vain - although, when County scored, I did, at least, get to tweet about our being able to 'party like it's 1899'...

Afternoon, all - and welcome back for the first of two consecutive Saturday games in SK3. Hopefully, too, the County Faithful may get to see the foundations of ‘Fortress Edgeley’ further embedded with a third win in a row on home turf.
Now, here’s a thing. Had the Hatters kept a clean sheet at Solihull Moors last Saturday, they would be taking to the field today and facing the very same opponents at whose hands they last conceded a goal and suffered defeat in the League - such are the quirks of the 2015/16 fixture-schedules!
Chorley is not the only team against whom County will complete a pair of this season’s matches as early as November, either. As coincidence would have it, Solihull, the side responsible for County’s one other defeat on the road, also come a-visiting before the month is out.
Back to this afternoon, though - and we Hatters certainly need no reminding that Magpies can bring bad luck, when our head-to-head record with Chorley in modern times is examined. Indeed, a win - or even a goal - for County today would be the Club’s first since 1899!
The age-old remedy for warding off ill fortune if a lone magpie crosses your path is to salute the bird and say: “Good morning, Mr Magpie. How is your lady wife today?” - so, if you see a visiting player lurking on his own outside the ground before kick-off, you know what you have to do! Be prepared to lose your friends, mind...
With that, we move on from our opponents and turn to things Heavenly. Plenty to report there, Chorley?!

There is indeed… and don’t call me Chorley!
First up, some congratulations are in order. County Heaven stalwart (and founding member), Bringbacklenwhite - who you might recognise from the CH institution that is ‘Lennie’s Limerick Lounge’ - has just clocked up his first ever win in Downy’s Prediction League, having taken the title for October by a solitary point. November’s competition has just started, so if you fancy your chances predicting the scores of randomly-selected matches from around the country, head to County Heaven post-haste!
The start of November also means that our very good friend, Epworth Hatter, has once again banished his razor to the bathroom cabinet for the month, to take part in ‘Movember’. If you weren’t aware, ‘Movember’ is a foundation set up to raise awareness of men’s health issues around the world, with participants growing moustaches to promote the charity and raise much-needed funds in the process.
You may spot some ‘Mo Bros’ around the ground - or even on the pitch - today, but if you would like to support what is an excellent cause, the details for Eppy’s MoSpace are in our ‘Off Topic’ section, and I know that any contribution, no matter how much, will mean a great deal to both Eppy and the charity. Please dig deep if you can.
Right then, moustache (‘must dash’ - geddit?!). Enjoy the game - and let’s hope The Magpies don’t go stealing any points today.
Animo et Fide.
