Only just caught up with this. Very interesting Eppy although there's only about 3 tracks with which I'm familiar so plenty of work to do for me. I do, however, have the Julee Cruise CD so at least I knew who wrote all the lyrics. Thanks for posting.

Just acted upon an Eppers recommendation and taken delivery of the (quite-hard-to-find) Delicious Monster album, Joie De Vivre. Excellent stuff! Especially like opening track, Power Missy, on the first listen. Was trying to figure out how I missed out on the band at the time - and then I realised... its short-lived career was focused precisely around the time when Little Maccette was born, so I had other matters on my mind!

Well cover me in honey and throw me to the lesbians - a band macca's not heard of before! I was starting to doubt such a thing existed! I'm glad you are enjoying Joie De Vivre, macca. I can also recommend the B sides of Big Love: Fresh Cream and, particularly, Shedding - outstanding (and possibly better than the A side!)

16. A two-parter: What is the name of the Pixies songwriting publishing company and from which song does it come? Rice and Beans (Bone Machine)
17. Why did Quickspace’s founder and leader, Tom Cullinen, name their fourth, and final, album ‘The Death of Quickspace’? As both a joke and a subtle threat intended to motivate the others to show up for rehearsals and recording sessions. “The band can be really lazy sometimes” he said.
18. Ride were one of the original ‘shoegaze’ bands. What is the original of the term and when was it first coined? The proportion of time guitarists looked down to use effects pedals compared to looking at the audience, Sounds in a review of the band Moose. Incidently, Jim 'Moose' McKilliop, guitarist in Moose, after whom the band is names, lives with Miki Berenyi of Lush and they have two children together - so the link is even stronger!

TOTPs only allowed bands with videos to play on the show so they hastily recorded it – although in vain as they never played TOTP while Velouria was in the charts
