Will make my first task of the evening posting today's matchday-article. Should be somewhat easier than writing about what actually happened this afternoon...!

Good afternoon, and welcome to EP for today’s derby against our near neighbours, Stalybridge.
I think it is fair to say there is an air of excitement surrounding County at present, following our excellent start to the season, which we perhaps haven’t experienced in some time. This is reflected on County Heaven, where the match threads are notably more upbeat and optimistic, especially when it comes to our score predictions. Each fixture is being met with the expectation of three points, whereas in previous seasons the phrase ‘I’d be happy with a point’ was depressingly prevalent. Long may it continue!
Then, following each game, Heaveners are treated to a sneak preview of the consistently-excellent match reports from our very own Hatter In Macc (to whom I shall hand you over shortly), before they reach the masses. Not only are they very well written, informative, and often amusing (so everything my half of this article isn’t), they also tend to contain obscure references to bands like Showaddywaddy for the older generation. Not that most Showaddywaddy fans can work computers, mind...
So, County Heaven not only boasts the finest club tweeter and match reporter in the country (not my words, the words of ‘Pundit Magazine’*), together with the best article in this programme (debatable - Ed), but all manner of other threads and games for your entertainment. Seriously, what are you waiting for?!
Right then, here’s the man himself - it’s Maccy!
*Ok, might have made that up.

Oh... hello, readers! Nice to be back here on a Saturday. And especially for this afternoon’s ‘SK derby’, which, if the the 2014/15 fixtures between our two teams - which produced no fewer than a dozen goals - are anything to go by, shouldn’t be dull.
So, that’s a nailed-on certainty for a no-score draw today, then...
Last season also saw Celtic field a few former Hatters, although none has continued to ply his trade at Bower Fold this term: Lewis King now dons the gloves for Matlock; ‘Charlie‘ Ennis is at Hednesford; and Liam Dickinson is tasting the National League high-life with Guiseley. Meanwhile, a certain Mr Mainwaring - once sponsored by this forum - is bobbing and weaving in the boxing ring - and, hopefully, not spending too much of his time prostrate on the... erm, Mat(ty)!
Our three preceding matches last week saw County achieve some ‘firsts’, by winning at Telford’s New Bucks Head Stadium and not losing either in SK3 against North Ferriby or down Liberty Way (aka, if you will, The A1 Gas Force Arena), Nuneaton. Let us hope to get more such historical monkeys off our backs this term. By my calculations, there are still several of them!
Enjoy the game - and the Bank Holiday weekend.
