Good to hear that plans are provisionally set in train for another Spring tour over here, jarkko. More than happy to moonlight again as Rolvsoy's 'Mr Tweet', should they all come to fruition!
County's pre-season has been pretty encouraging so far - in as much as one can deduce anything meaningful from friendlies. We certainly look to have not only a robust squad under Neil Young - including bigger players up top, and a more combative and creative midfield - but also one that features pace here and there.
Very early days, though, of course... and I won't name any players that especially take the eye at this stage, for fear of jinxing them ahead of the campaign-proper!

it's hard to tell with pre-season - i've seen decent friendly performances before and we've then been awful when the season has started. it looks like we're better equipped for the division now though - a more even blend of real serious experience and youth, and a stronger, more physically imposing side who don't look like they will be bullied in games.
also difficult to tell when the first friendly (away at clitheroe, 3-0 to county) was against a side a couple of divisions below us, the most recent against a side a division above us, and the other against a welsh prem side which may be the equivalent of the conference national (and who had already played 7 games before they faced us). as above though, we do look better equipped and there are already a handful of players who i think we might be singing the praises of later in the season.

Time for an update!
Great start for County!!And against a Boston side that, in my mind, Could be one of the better sides in this league? Only seen highlights, but i was impressed by the teams effort. Much better sice on the players, and that makes us more competetive. Optimism is back in Norway. Your thoughts?
As for Rolvsøy we start again today at home to Østsiden. Its going to be tough for us this fall as we have lost some Important players. Vebjørn (GK) left for third tier team Trosvik and we are not able to really replace him. 2nd GK Tjomas Augdahl is out today with a ban,so 3rd goalie Tom Jensen, out of form, is watching our goal.
Trond Jensen,Okafor,Luther are all out of this game. New signing Gabrielsen makes his official debut today at right wing. My hope is to sign experienced defender Bjørn Ingar Ødegård soon, but no signature yet. More clubs chase him.
And I have to brag a bit in the end and say that we took the gold medals in Aalborg youth games last week, thats with The Fredrikstad FK 14year old team that I coach on The side. No Norwegian team has ever won this tournement before,so its quite an acievment! Its called the youth olympics.
Cheers!

Well done with the youngsters, Jarkko. They are the future for your club.
I would be on the plane later to help you out in goal except I hurt my knee playing yesterday.
Good luck with game and best wishes for the rest of the season.

Cheers for the update, Jarkko. Sorry to learn that you have lost Vebjørn - although not entirely surprised, on the evidence of his fantastic performances over here. I think we shall be hearing a lot more of him... (Who are you going to get to take your penalties now?!) Many congratulations on your success in the youth games. And best of luck to the senior team, as the season resumes.

Fantastic achievement with the Fredrikstad youth team, mate, seriously brilliant that!
I'm sure Rolvsoy will be able to bounce back from the loss of your first choice keeper, but times like these offer other players the chance to step up to the plate, hopefully this will be the case.
As for County against Boston, one word above all others sums it up best for me:
COMPETITIVE.
Best of luck for the coming season, mate!

Gutted to hear about Vebjorn but no more than he deserves! He is a lovely lad and a top class goalie!

Cheers guys! And agreed Chris. I hope Vebjørn makes it.
Another doble this weekend? Rolvsøy on friday and County on saturday.
As for Rolvsøy, we play Idd away on friday night. They have only lost three games on this pitch the last five years. Very tough task in other words.
County have The chance to show consistency at EP on saturday and really convince everyone that they will be a top side this season. Any chance for more fans at EP if this continues?
Thanks again guys. We speak soon!

Wish that County were playing at EP this Saturday, Jarkko. Instead, we have to travel to Telford - where the Hatters have yet to win. Still, a first time for everything, and all that... Your own away-trip sounds a real toughie. Given Rolvsoy's recent good form, however, you must be in with a chance? Best of luck, anyway!
