FC United part company with assistant Milligan Jan 9, 2019 | Chimp Weekly Headlines, Headlines In order to generate additional playing budget, FC United manager Neil Reynolds has made the extremely difficult decision in asking Jamie Milligan, FC United’s Assistant Manager, to leave the club. Reynolds explained: “I spoke to Jamie at length and he fully understands the reasons. The saving we make from Jamie’s departure will go towards the playing budget, as I look to strengthen the squad for the last 17 matches of the season. “I want the thank Jamie for all his efforts whilst at the club. He will be a big loss on the coaching side and assisting me. For the interim period I will not be having an assistant manager but will continue to rely on the support of my backroom staff.” Milligan, who is a UEFA A qualified coach and runs his own academy, joined FC United in October alongside manager Reynolds. As well as being assistant manager, Milligan also made three appearances for the first team.

A couple of ex-Hatters on the move within our League - with Carl Baker joining Brackley from Nuneaton, and Ben McKenna moving back west from Bradford (PA) to Chester.
Both made their debuts in the respective starting line-ups yesterday.

One of the best team players and probably the best hold up player in the league has just scored 5 league goals this month with some assists thrown in. Well done, Big K!

Great to see Big K doing well - although sincerely hope that he has an off-day on 9th February!
Likewise, for 9th March, another fave ex-Hatter, Carl Baker, who bagged a brace for Brackley yesterday.

About time that we had news of another Richard Brodie move - eh, gang? Well, he has just joined Ilkeston, which I calculate to be his fourth club this term. Pretty quiet season, really...

he should just stick to doing keepy-uppies by himself. probably be better for the stress levels at non-league clubs.

I'm beginning to sense a frustrated kid that never quite finished his Topps bubble gum Football card collection. #unfinishedbusiness

Saw this posted on MB and thought I'd post it here. It's a bit iffy on the audio, but it's great to hear him talk about his time with County and playing under Danny:
Preecey is easily one of the best finishers I've seen at County.

agreed gazz. you wonder how some of these sides remain competitive, and perhaps one of the answers is through cash injections which aren't related to football income. blyth clearly don't have this. if it's not that, then they're hoodwinking alun and their fans given that by alun's estimation attendances have almost doubled under his tenure.
either way it's an incendiary interview and suggests he knows his time's all but over at the club. i don't imagine there's much going back after statements like those.

Smashing lad, Josh. Met and chatted with him this season at Birch Services while I was heading over the Pennines for a match - and he and a couple of team-mates were waiting to be picked up and do likewise for Warrington. He really enjoyed playing for County, and had nothing but good feelings to express about the club and its fans.
Genuinely pleased that he has done so well in the NPL this term.

Warrington not quite there yet as they now face the Southern league playoffs team next weekend in a Super Playoff Final! But well done to Amis nevertheless!

Smalley, who started the campaign with us and made over 100 appearances, won PoTY for Stalybridge. Well done to him.
