And, as a supplementary:
Why, having laid off the Club's Groundsman and in the knowledge that overnight rain was forecast, was the pitch not at least covered ahead of yesterday's game?

My question is to one and all:-
Is McKnight the most unpopular person ever to step foot into Stockport County Football Club?
Now bearing in mind the contenders over the years, it's a tough one, but the way he's going, he's certainly among the front runners.

Blimey, who to pick, Rog?
Crippen, Nilsen, Bundy, Gein............
can't possibly pick a 'worst' out of that lot, so there's no chance I'd be able to sift through our ever-growing list of County shitehawks and pick a 'winner'!

The whole thing is in doubt now anyway, he promised before Christmas that I could speak to him after Christmas, I contact him early January and it looks like he's going to back out of it, he started questioning who I was and my motives, I answered him quickly and honestly and now he isn't even getting back to me!

This is not the behaviour of a man who a) believes in what he is doing and is confident that it is working, & b) has any intention of engaging the fans. Fans or fan, if he was true to his word and was doing a good job (look at where the club were before he took over for judgement on that one), he would have no qualms about answering your questions. The guy is all about self-promotion, so that tells its own story. Even Brian Kennedy had the decency to answer your questions (or were they Dan's? Apologies if I have that one mixed up, but you get what I mean). McKnight has absolutely zero respect for us or the club, but I really do believe he's working to someone else's mandate though, I just don't think he has the nous to have done this all by himself. Besides which, anyone else would have been shown the door months ago, his continuing employment by the club suggests he has a friend high up. How else can you explain him still being in the job? He reminds me so much of Dan Quayle, but even he made sense occasionally, McKnight is just baffling.

His antics to Fudgie just enhance his chances of moving up the "most unpopular of all time" table.

I'm with you Gazza.
If I had plans to screw a company over, but wanted to stay out of the firing line, I'd hire a wet-behind-the-ears puppet with little experience in business and who didn't have the confidence or maturity to challenge anything I say. I wonder if he has the intelligence to realise he is being played?
That's what is so frustrating. We are venting our anger at McKn*ght and you can't help but feeling that that is exactly what they want us to do.
Yours,
Helpless of Epworth.

Couldn't agree more, epworth, but even morons realise when they've f**ked up, and will eventually reach a point where they realise they've been had.
I'd love to hear McKnight's excuse!

I can't remember, ars. All I know is that you could chuck a banana in the air in the Chester Zoo Ape house and pick the one that caught it and still find someone better equipped to run this club!
MCKNIGHT OUT!
