I've only just noticed this, Maccy, but what a well-written piece that is. The young lady has obviously inherited her Dad's considerable talent. Excellent work, please pass on my congratulations!

Went to see Al Stewart on Tuesday evening. I saw him (together with Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and the Incredible String Band) at the Free Trade Hall in November 1967. Not many folkies of his generation still surviving.

Been busy recently on the music front - saw Blossoms last night at The Bungalow - quality gig from our Stockport lads. Then today, went to see Black Rivers at XFM (won tickets) in an intimate gig, only 30 or so people. I was buzzing as you can imagine. Me and Black Rivers, and my mate Ste on the right!

Some good selections in there mate. Not sure I'd consider Hey Jude one of the top 5 songs ever...! Sent from my Hudl HT7S3 using proboards It was tough picking No.1. There were many other options like Bohemian Rhapsody or Stairway to Heaven that could have easily made the cut. Stairway to Heaven did make the top five but I just thought that Hey Jude (the long version) was the song that I could most comfortably put there. There are also many Beatles songs that could go in it's place, I just prefer that one.

I would have a completely different top 5 personally but that is the beauty of music! Everyone has an opinion and no one is wrong!
As for best music videos watch both versions of Football's Coming Home!
