Jack Whitehall........toffee nosed sod wouldn't be able to relate to the working classes if his life depended on it!

Agreed, Fudgie, I just don't find him funny at all.

Nor me mate, I can't abide any 'posh' comedian who tries to relate to the Working Class, it just flops so badly, John Bishop, Jason Manford, Peter Kay etc. they have all had the real life experience and can draw comedy from it, even David Mitchell, an undeniably posh sod, is funny because he knows he's posh and works with it, he doesn't pretend to be anything else!

i've just been reading david mitchell's book - he's only middle-middle class as opposed to jack whitehall's 'to the manor born'. that said, he's one of the least annoying characters on 'fresh meat', which really does feature an overwhelming set of c***s.

I won't even watch that show mate, I watched 10 minutes of one episode and was so turned off by it, I literally haven't given it another chance, nor do I intend to!

i gave it a decent chance because it was from the people behind 'peepshow' (which even now, remains funny). you wouldn't know it though.
i'm not overly stuck on whitehall, but i'd take him over the dull, obvious 'man of the people' john bishop any day.

I find John Bishop a lot more relatable than Whitehall and to me that makes someone funnier to me!
I was disappointed by Fresh Meat as well, as you say, Peep Show was incredibly funny, however it's become clear it was Mitchell and Webb who made it what it was if Fresh Meat is any barometer of the comedic talents of the writers!

I can't stand John Bishop, he's a professional Scouser, and as funny as a jockstrap full of hot wax.

i find bishop a bit too much of a 'funny cos it's true' school. some of that stuff i like, but he's a bit "fridges...cold aren't they?" *milks applause* for me.

it's an odd one, cos i didn't like the 'mitchell and webb look' at all, and that made me think 'peepshow' was so good because of the writers. since then though, i've liked david mitchell in pretty much everything he's on. he's a great blend of actual detail obsessed nerdishness, and aware of and sending up his detail obsessed nerdishness.

IMdb, wtf have they done to it? I can't see the complete filmography on the main artist overview page anymore, why change it, or have they made it a membership only feature?

Now I can, but they've moved it, it was better how it was.

I don't get the need for people to mess around with things that are perfect as are!!

The Lotto or Lottery, whatever it's called these days. In particular, the Saturday night fiasco. TV on a Saturday bleedin' night is bad enough without an hour of complete sh*te described as "entertainment". Just give us the bleedin' results and clear off, allowing us the opportunity to watch something more enjoyable. Good cause, yes of course it is, but an hour of sh*te to go with it, no thanks. Am dragging the BBC into this as well because they are sh*te too. I refuse to mention ITV, whoops, I've just done. In that case, ITV are sh*te also.
