When you are reminded of 'that' McKnight press conference and remember exactly where you were when you first heard about it. *Shudder*

Look at the state of him, what an absolute, whopping great tw##! Is he sleeping in his f***ing car these days or something? I thought Spencer Fearn was a pretty successful businessman, so why is he still persevering with that utter gobsh*te? Maybe, like Blackadder with Lord Percy, he just likes "to start the day with a total d**khead to remind me I'm best!"

it's the skinniest of jeans + beard + stupid hair combination that seems to sap at my spirit every time i look at him. there was an even worse pic, where his hair was incredibly overgrown, but then laughably overstyled, like he'd been sleeping in a skip for several months, but was then rescued by a lonely ladies' hairdresser from the 1970's.
(but i didn't post it because it was too big and i have lost the ability to resize pictures in the edit because a couple of years ago i was trying to switch the snow off and forgot there was a button, so started deleting lines of code, because i'm an idiot)

As the minute waltz fades away...
Sad to hear of the passing of Nicholas Parsons yesterday. Just a Minute has been part of my commute for years.

Sale of the century is a vivid Nicholas Parsons memory from my childhood..
"And now, from Norwich.... It's the quiz of the week!"
I think it might have been on a Sunday evening, but I'm open to correction on that one.
RIP

Should properly be on the 'Likes' thread, I guess - but RIP, Nicholas, all the same.
The consummate professional - and that rarest of things in comedy: a genuinely funny straight man.

RIP nicholas
and RIP terry jones, who i don't think we mentioned last week. always seemed touched by wonder, and the endless lines "led by a star?...led by a bottle more like" always delivered perfectly.

Microsoft again!
The laptop has been booting up for 15 mins now with a black screen.
Not even got to the desktop yet. FFS!
It's no wonder people buy Apple's.
There will be a delay in updating the Prediction league.

Indeed and their absolutely f***ing awful CV feature. Why the absolute f*** can't I upload the CV I've created myself and have it left UNTOUCHED by their dogshit system that, when it's finished with it, makes it look like it's been put together by a f***ing Safari park chimp? So now my application for a job that really did look like it was right up my street has now, in all probability, been f***ing ruined - tw##s.

cheap beer, before I came to Spain I was virtually a teetotaller mainly because I drove everywhere and when I went out I would have water or pop to drink. Over here I don't need or have a car, I was out with some colleagues the other evening and a glass of coke was 2.50. The equivalent sized beer was 1.30. Great I hear you say, but not for someone who didn't used to drink and always goes for best value for money... Last week I decided to be 'good' during one of the language exchange sessions I went to in a bar/coffee shop. A green tea set me back 2.80 whereas a bottle of premium local beer is only 2.20.
I have drunk more alcohol in the last three months than I did in the preceding 5 years I think!
Then at the weekend a thought hit me. This year I might actually need to get a beach body (that doesn't resemble a beached whale!) because colleagues were saying that come the summer evenings and weekends are often spent down the beach! Life here is tough and I thought I ought to let you guys know some of the big problems I face...
