Camp food.
It's sh*t.
If I was a chef/cook expecting people to eat this crap every night I'd quit and work for McDonald's.

But there's a shop that sells pizzas, pies, toasties etc at inflated prices. Funny how the shop truck can bring ok food in but the dry mess truck brings in meat that's 80℅ fat and fruit that has obviously been rejected by supermarkets.

Free speech in this country AKA 'you'll get your say when we feel you should have it'.
The BBC and The Guardian websites are two in particular, picking and choosing which articles to allow readers to comment on, which more often than not results in denying me the opportunity to comment on the ones I really feel strongly about.
Either allow comments on all of the articles or block the lot.

The BBC and The Guardian websites... the BBC certainly has form going back to the old 606 messageboards when some of us had very mild posts removed (i know when i'm just being sarcastic, and when i'm pushing it too far). no issue with them removing anything, for example, racist, libellious, sweary or otherwise unacceptable, but it reached a point where only the blandest platitudes or wind up bury fans escaped. annoying.

f***ing Amazon. I'm currently watching American Pickers on History and the last ad-break had THREE f***ing Amazon commercials.
f*** off, Bezos and pay your fair share of f***ing taxes.

The best way to treat Amazon, Starbucks, Asda or any other business given to evading their taxes and/or treating their employees like sh*t is take your business somewhere else.

I don't know about anyone else, but in my experience Amazon delivery drivers don't wear Amazon uniforms, don't drive Amazon vehicles and don't deliver parcels singing a f***ing song with a smile on their faces. In fact, the only Amazon logo I've ever seen was on the crushed box that got stuffed into my gardening waste bin when the driver couldn't be arsed leaving it with a neighbour - true story.
Lucky for me (and him), the £50 2TB internal hard drive I dug from the bin was installed and worked okay, not that Jeff would give an ounce of a sh*t.
Most of them use their own cars or hire vans out at their own expense. That latest ad campaign is pure bullsh*t. What next, Bezos dressed as Jesus in a scene from the last supper?
f*** off.

I’ve added Cadbury to my list of companies to avoid, since they’ve been taken over by Kraft their tax bill has plummeted... don’t worry Boris and Nige I’m sure the Americans will treat us fairly and equably in trade negotiations.

Me too ever since they moved most of their manufacturering to Poland. The great UK public need to wherever possible just support companies who produce the product here.

Trouble is many people love Amazon and don't care one bit about the high street. Not surprising as you normally get better service on the net than on the shops. How many times at the checkout do you say hello and get blanked or they grunt back at you. They forget the customer pays their wages. Good point though that we have to take our business elsewhere.

I guess we've all been blanked by an apparently surly till operators but I can sympathise. I left GMP to join the Army in 1985 and in between being accepted and starting I dislocated my shoulder playing football. Having failed the retaken medical in spectacular fashion by dislocating my shoulder again I worked for Kwik Save for a short period until I decided that a career in grocery wasn't for me not least because giving up watching my beloved County on a Saturday to be abused by customers because they couldn't get their hands on their favourite snack was not my idea of a great life, particularly since the management did a good line in abuse too. I suspect that there is a link between a business' approach to social responsibility and paying tax and its sense of responsibility to its employees to provide a decent working environment and hey, amongst other things! Decent wages.
