Obviously "Human" comes from the old French word "Humain". Therefore, still in Europe. QED. Any chance you can copy Boris in on that, mate?!

The silence from the County board, which is deafening.
Not only are they dodging co-op meetings, they're now hiding behind our manager, who already has a very difficult job to do.
There was a post on here last season that suggested that the team were getting results in spite of the manager, but I think it was more a case of the manager, staff and players dragging this club out of regional football in spite of the board.
They're a disgrace for keeping this quiet while Jim is under immense pressure, trying to make a silk purse from a pig's ear - they really are not worthy of this club and it's phenomenal support.
They're trying to do things on the cheap again and will no doubt stay silent, letting Jim carry the can when it all goes tits up.
Bunch of sh*thouses.

We have a Communications Director allegedly Would that be Jon Keighren?

MB has announced we've signed Buxton's Brown, a 20-year-old LB who was called up to England C.

A young player with a certain quality (England C call up) who can be improved. On the face of it the signing would seem to be consistent with JG's recruitment policy.

I'm sure there are a few players over the years that would've received the same reaction but then gone on to have pretty decent careers. Got to trust Gannon's judgement on this one I suppose?

That's an excellent point, mate - Sean Connelly from Hallam being one of the most prominent examples of that.

Although I was more keen to see an established player that can slot in immediately, that - like Downy's - is an excellent point, mate. Fingers crossed he can hit the ground running.

I tend to agree but perhaps we shouldn't get unduly excited about the last 4 games as this season was always going to be a difficult one. I think JG was quite clear that he was going to give last season's squad a chance. Judging from his comments post Solihull those player's have had their chance and we can expect some of them to be on their way shortly.

I read that as we've signed a player called 'Buxton Brown', which sounds more like a hipster IPA from a microbrewery. And, to be honest, given how desperate we are to get out of this rut, playing a pint of beer at left back might be worth a try...

Some much-needed perspective there, Yorks - quite right too, I think. I think JG was quite clear that he was going to give last season's squad a chance. Judging from his comments post Solihull those player's have had their chance and we can expect some of them to be on their way shortly. Indeed, mate, I trust him to deal with this - I just hope the board give him the support he needs.
